I Love when both food, service and ambiance are top level. The staff was super nice, was able to connect with them and the service was out of this world. We are from the southwest and make a trip to the North East every year, and Jacques is a must stop place for us every time. I feel both my husband and me get rolled out from how amazing the food is.

This place is so delicious! The decor and ambiance are welcoming and cozy. They have a coat check and all the staff are very nice. We had escargot, foie gras, three cheeses, steak frites, and duck. Everything was absolutely amazing. I expected the duck to come with one leg, but it came with two! My only complaints are that we had to ask for bread and that the steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare. But the bread was warm!

Very cozy place, found it by mistake and the night just got better. The people are very welcoming and friendly, Edgar our host was on point and the best. The food was good and tasty. Would recommend for a hideout place with great drinks and ambiance.

Hubby and I recently tried this restaurant with our friends. I wanted to try another type of French restaurant. This is a classic-looking cafe with indoor and outdoor seating areas. We didn't order appetizers and went straight for the entrees. I ordered the roasted half chicken, which was served with mashed potatoes. My chicken dish was good. Hubby had the Niçoise salad. Both dishes were very good. I thought they could do better with the chicken. It was nothing special, with a nice taste, but it was average. I expected more in terms of tenderness and flavor. Hubby's Nicoise salad was better than my chicken dish. Our waiter for the evening was Fernando (I think that's his name). He took care of our table professionally. He read the specials, but we ordered from a regular menu. I was glad to try the restaurant. I ended the evening with a cup of green tea without any desserts.

One of only a handful of my go tos in Yorkville and the only French one on my list. The ambience is wonderful, with a great bar area and 2 rooms of seating. Outside "cafe' seating style includes an enclosed for winter sidewalk area plus a separate (and soon to be seasonal) street hut seating. The wait staff, bartenders and maitre d are very good, friendly and accommodating. The food is very good, some traditional dishes but also a few surprises. My favorites are the lamb chops special on Fridays, the steak tartare, the tuna tartare, the burger and the branzino. Their frits are pure perfection! I can't wait to go back again this week!

One of the places we like to frequent on the upper east side when we are in town. I was reading some of the negative reviews about service but our service was fine. No attitude from anybody, food came timely, and water glasses were full. A lot of people order the mussels and fries which seems to be a specialty here. We usually go to Flex Mussels for this type of meal. My wife had the steak and fries which she enjoyed and I had the lamb chops. Everything was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I had the chocolate soufflé for desert which was decadent. Again, one of our favorite neighborhood bistros when we are on the UES.

Went here for the first time and it was pretty good. I saw mixed reviews but I'd go here again in the future. The staff was great and the food was great except the burger was. A little fry for me but was still good. We got the tartare which is my fav. The dirty martini is a must there.
